Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped (preferably in oil)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or mix of basil, oregano, thyme)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prep the Pork Chops : Pat pork chops dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Step 2: Sear the Pork Chops : Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside on a plate.
  • Step 3: Make the Sauce : Lower heat to medium. Add minced garlic and chopped sun-dried tomatoes to the same skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes. Pour in chicken broth and stir to deglaze the pan. Add heavy cream and Italian herbs. Simmer 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Step 4: Finish the Dish : Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Return pork chops to the skillet and coat them with the sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes to heat through.
  • Step 5: Garnish and Serve : Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
