Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw pecans
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier option)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven : Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or silicone mat.
  • Prepare Maple Mixture : In a large bowl, whisk together maple syrup, melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Coat Pecans : Add pecans to the bowl and toss until every nut is evenly coated in the maple mixture.
  • Arrange on Baking Sheet : Spread the pecans in a single layer to ensure even baking.
  • Bake : Place in oven and bake for 15–20 minutes. Stir halfway to prevent burning and ensure all nuts caramelize evenly.
  • Cool : Remove from oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet. The pecans will harden as they cool.
  • Serve or Store : Once cooled, transfer to an airtight container or serve immediately.
